Champion Warriors began with the simple premise that “As long as men have built fires, they’ve sat around them telling stories.”
Champion Warriors takes 4th, 5th, and 6th grade boys and their dads out in the woods for a weekend to share some of the classic stories of human history: stories about honesty, loyalty, perseverance, and friendship. And in between all the stories we find time for archery, fun, friendly competition, and building a lifelong father-son relationship.
Champion Warriors is built on Psalm 127:4 “Like arrows in the hands of a warrior, are sons born in one’s youth.” Ancient warriors spent hours shaping and forming their arrows. It was crucial that they be perfectly straight, weighted properly, and aligned from arrowhead to flights. Only after all that work could the warrior be certain that his arrow would fly true and hit his target. A father spends years shaping and forming his son, then he has to shoot him into the world.
Champion Warriors helps fathers build stronger relationships with their sons while they are young, and pass along some of the great virtues of civilization. This way, the father can be certain his son will fly true and hit his target, God’s will for his life.
